All Spice by Paisley Roots

Thursday, September 4, 2014
My blog and sewing has been neglected this summer. Between having both girls home and being preggo with baby #3, I have had very little time or motivation to sew.  When I saw that Karly from Paisley Roots need some testers for a new dress, I jumped at the chance to apply. Luck me got picked!! It felt good getting back into sewing. She came up with a fabulous dress called the All Spice.

The dress comes with sleeveless, flutter, cap and long sleeve options. It can also be done with a zipper front or a button front. The pattern is 6-12months to 12 years. This is a size 5, sleeveless with zipper bodice. My daughter picked out the fabric from my stash. Top bodice is Modkid by Patty Young for Joann Fabric. The skirt is Timeless Treasure Mini Flamingoes (found on etsy).  She loved how it turned out and so did I!!

This is also the debut of her brand new hairstyle.

So Happy!

Because the sprinkler system turned on. Luckily I was done with the photos so it wasn't an issue. Her and her sister couldn't have been happier running around in them, and excited that mommy didn't say no.

I also did a short sleeve version.

She also picked out the fabric for this version too. In reality this one came before the sleeveless version (that would have been given away by her hair). Bodice is a Cambridge Cotton Lawn by Robert Kaufman from Hawthorne Threads. The skirt is London Calling 3 Bright Floral by Robert Kaufman from etsy.

She also loved this version!

Do yourself a favor and get the All Spice dress from Paisley Roots. And while your there check out the equally cut Saffron Twirl Dress

Thank you for stopping by!
